oops, pressed a wrong button somewhere before I meant to! This portrait was begun during rehearsing as a "dancing priestess" for an opera by Bizet called the Pearl Fishers. Two stages here, about 3 washes on the backround in earlier one and all the space shaded in on the second. It'll probably be a month before it's finished.

Holy Moly I'm on line!

If you have come to this blog via my web page, welcome! You may as well know that it's a hodge podge of all my various activities in the sort of stream of conciousness way I go about life. It's about art, theater, music, and horses, horses, horses! Right now I'm into working on lots of commissioned portraits. I LOVE to do informal portraits of people with their horses (or other animals) though the lady who owns this horse opted not to be in the picture.
